LSU Annual Opponents 2026-2029

Arkansas RazorbacksThe Razorbacks and Tigers played for the first time way back in 1901. This game hasn’t been the consistent annual rivalry that many others in the SEC have. Predominantly due to the fact that Arkansas didn’t officially join the Southeastern Conference until 1992.

Even though the “Battle for the Golden Boot,” moniker didn’t come about until 1996, it has quickly become one of the most coveted prizes in all of college football and the fans of both Arkansas and LSU take winning it very seriously. The trophy itself cost $10,000 and weighs 200 lbs. It depicts the states of Arkansas and Louisiana which actually make the shape of a boot. Who knew?!

Coming into the 2025 season, LSU leads this all-time series 45-23-2. This year’s contest will be played on November 15, 2025 at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, LA.

Ole Miss Rebels – “The Magnolia Bowl” is played each year between the LSU Tigers and the Ole Miss Rebels. The tradition started back in 1894 and has been played a total of 111 times. In all fairness, the game didn’t get the name “Magnolia Bowl” until there was a vote by both student bodies in 2008. The name came from the fact that the magnolia flower is the state flower of both Mississippi and Louisiana. I have to admit, growing up in Mississippi, I obviously knew our state flower was the magnolia, but I had no idea it was also theirs. I feel a little violated, if I’m being honest!

It seems as though this series has been defined mainly by streaks. LSU owns the longest one, 8 in a row from 1928-1937. Both teams have a 6 in a row streak, the Rebels did it from 1952-1957 and the Tigers from 2002-2007. Overall, LSU leads the series 64-43-4 with LSU winning 7 of the last 10.

Texas A & M Aggies – Despite their fairly close proximity and perpetual recruiting battles, LSU and A&M have only played each other 59 times going all the way back to 1899. They have played twice in bowl games over the years with LSU winning both. The 1944 Orange Bowl and the 2011 Cotton Bowl Classic.

The “Bayou Bengals” lead the overall series with the Aggies, 35-21 with three ties. This years’ tilt will happen on October 25th in Death Valley/Tiger Stadium – Baton Rouge.

P.S. There seems to be some discrepancy in the respective win totals for this series. If any of you has definitive proof what the numbers are, please let me know at admin@allsectalk.com. Winsipedia.com says LSU leads 32-24-3 while 12thman.com reports LSU 35-21-3. Any help is greatly appreciated.
